Although
the areas outside of the enameled center in the above prototypes
may look like they are enameled, they will be gold on the Champs
medal, silver on second place, and bronze on third through fifth
places. The medals will be struck using gold, silver, and bronze
blanks, and will only have enameled surfaces in the center ring
and on the bars. Please note that the Second Place Medal prototype
shown above was erroneously shown as gold. It will be silver.
